BrokenRail in the News
press / reviews
"BrokenRail have recently added guitarist Dave Delacruz of Silent Civilian fame to their lineup and they're pushing things in a heavier direction. Delacruz, fellow guitarist Aaron Jackson and bassist Dakotah Wright deliver a pummeling and driving low-end sound, while Alex Hilton pounds away on drums and singer Blake Clawson comes armed with plenty of aggression. The band has teamed up with Loudwire to bring you the exclusive premiere of their lyric video for the brand new track 'Ghosts of Tomorrow.'"
"The band is on their way to being the world’s best New Rock Band and that is why they were chosen for our Indie Band Of The Week."
New Noise Magazine
"I can already tell you that we are looking at the next big thing in commercial modern rock music. BrokenRail are the next Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown... This EP only offers three tracks, but they’re so chock-full of hits that the listener can immediately sense a sort of radio-friendly quality. Not only does the record have a high-quality production value, but to me it just feels like the first three tracks on a soon to be chart-topping full length album."
"Personally, I enjoyed the EP and couldn’t get enough of it. However, I was a little upset when “Save Me” ended and the album was over, but it gives us something to look forward to when the band releases their full-length album, still in post-production."
"As 2016 is beginning to come to a close music lovers are starting to look ahead to 2017 and all the new musical treats in store for them. And one of the bands that they'll be hearing much more about is Alabama's hard rock and metal unit, BrokenRail."
"BrokenRail’s self-titled debut album is chock-full of elements that make up a good rock album, like hard riffs and catchy beats."
"For some reason one does not usually think of Alabama as a hotbed for modern metal, yet BrokenRail is quickly proving the South has something fresh to offer in a genre often stale with generic detritus."
Alabama rockers, BrokenRail was formed in 2008 by an all-star unit of musicians with the sole intention of rising to the top and proclaiming their place in modern music with their infectious blend of hard rock and metal.
BrokenRail has grown their following extensively over the years throughout the world. The exposure allowed the band’s music to get featured on several notable platforms such as ESPN, NBC Sports, MMA’s World Series of Fighting as well as having the band nominated in 2016, 2017, and 2018 for the Alabama Music Award for “Rock Band of the Year”. BrokenRail has also been nominated for the worldwide, 2018 Independent Music Awards (IMAs) for Rock / Hard Rock "Song of the Year" for their title 'Save Me' as well as the 2018 Josie Music Awards for Rock "Band of the Year" and Rock "Song of the Year" for their title 'Save Me'.
The band’s debut release, “Welcome To The Escape” came out in 2010 and made a strong impact for BrokenRail’s inception. The album was produced by Ben Trexel & Rick Beato (Shinedown, Crossfade). The band toured extensively throughout the Southern Regions before getting back into the studio for their sophomore album. BrokenRail teamed up with producer & engineer Brett Hestla (Framing Hanley) in 2011 to work on tracking and release for the EP "Never The Same". In 2013, the band release the single "When You Fall" while they ultimately headed to Los Angeles to work with producer Joseph McQueen (As I Lay Dying) on the new full length record. The final mixes were sent to Kane Churko (Papa Roach, As Lions) & Logan Mader (Gojira, Bullet For My Valentine) in Las Vegas which was completed in October of 2016.
In November of 2016, BrokenRail released a 3 track EP based off the upcoming album simply titled “BROKENRAIL” which was the first hint of the bands next full-fledged release. The release was to introduce a new and powerful direction for the band moving forward. The band released a music video for the single “Walk Again” which has attained tremendous responses from fans and press. The EP has garnered over 2 MILLION spins on Spotify alone and over 20 MILLION views on Youtube through user generated content, both completely independently.
Recently, BrokenRail premiered their new, heavier direction exclusively through Loudwire with their single release 'Ghosts of Tomorrow'. Impacting radio worldwide, the song has already been added to Spotify's Official 'New Metal Tracks' Playlist to over 304K followers as well as top 10 placement on 'Hard Rock Workout' to over 55K. Multiple songs from their previous EP still remain on many Spotify Official playlists as well, including 'Heavy Metal' & 'Metal Gym Hours'.
BrokenRail have shared the stage with bands such as 12 stones, Eye Empire, The Veer Union, Taproot, Digital Summer, 3 Pill Morning, Super Bob, Almost Kings, Shallow Side, Artifas and many more. The band has been on the National “Screaming Black Curse Tour” supporting All Hail the Yeti & Invidia in 2017. As of recent, BrokenRail just finished the National "Little Monsters Tour" with Raven Black & Aboleth. BrokenRail will be performing at the 25th anniversary of Rock Fest in Cadott, WI this year alongside bands such as Disturbed, Godsmack, Sevendust, Seether, Halestorm, Trivium, & more.
The band is working to complete their 2nd studio album which will be the most predominant to date. With their extensive live history, BrokenRail is primed to support the release at a wider level and won’t let anything get in their way.
